If there were but one word to describe Sumatras, it would be "satisfying."  Grown at altitudes up to 5,000 feet on the fertile volcanic souls of Mt. Leusu in the west central region of the island, Sumatra Mandheling is easily one of the most popular coffees in the world. It is renowned for its heavy, luxuriant body that coats the tongue and delights the senses with rich earthy tones. It is also surprisingly smooth and mild with very low acidity; again, making it ideally suited to those of you who consider the morning sunlight already too much brightness in your day. The Mandheling is a very dense bean that comes alive at a darker roast. It is a coffee that is fully satisfying on its own merits and one that is very complimentary in a blend.
